After looking through the Morton Arboretum’s website I happened to see this whiskey dinner as their next upcoming event so I clicked on through…and was so blown away by the menu that I don’t think I have a choice, I have to go to this:
2017 Whiskey Dinner Menu
First Course
Crispy Jumbo Shrimp
Grilled colossal asparagus topped with bourbon butter tomato sauce
Paired with Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey
Second Course
Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
Whiskey caramelized apples and crème fraiche
Paired with Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey Crock
Third Course
Whisky Braised Short Rib
Celery root cheddar mash, roasted vegetables and scotch herb jus
Paired with Glenfiddich 14 yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Fourth Course
Apple Walnut and Brioche Bread Pudding
Scotch crème anglaise and salted caramel
Paired with Balvenie Caribbean Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky
